Ashley is raising money for Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital in his memory.

Ashley's Mitzvah Project

Part of becoming a Bat Mitzvah is taking on a mitzvah project: choosing something that matters and doing the work to make it real. Ashley chose to do hers for Finn.

Finneas “Finn” Price was her friend. They reconnected in February 2025, on a trip to South Florida to visit her grandparents. Finn was already more than a year into a fight with a rare leukemia, diagnosed when he was seven. A friendship like that could easily have gone back to being a once-a-year thing. Instead, the two of them spent the next year finding each other online almost every day.

A lot of that year happened on Roblox. Finn had chemo appointments that ran long and hospital stays that ran longer, and Ashley would log on and build things with him and talk about nothing in particular until the time passed. His world had gotten very small by then. She was one of the few friends still in it.

Finn died on January 26, 2026, holding his mom's and his dad's hands. He was nine. He smiled and dreamed big the entire way through, which anyone who met him will tell you first.

Ashley makes bracelets by hand. She gives them to anyone who wants one and asks for nothing in return except this: give to Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital instead. That is where Finn was treated, and where his mom asked that gifts in his memory go. It is where families spend the hardest days of their lives. Every dollar goes toward making those days a little less hard for the family in the next room.

She can't undo what happened to Finn. This is what she can do instead.

The Bracelets

Each one is strung by hand in orange, the leukemia awareness color, and carries a single word. Ashley makes them one at a time for anyone local who would like one.

  • Fight
  • Overcome
  • Brave
  • Believe
  • Hope

You can ask for a name instead of a word. Ask Ashley for a bracelet, then give at least $18 straight to the hospital. Eighteen is chai, the Hebrew word for life.
